Depression Therapy
Your Path to Healing from Depression
Depression therapy helps adult individuals stop being ashamed of themselves and start being proud of who they are.
Life's challenges can feel dark, heavy, or even impossible. Most people who start dealing with their depression feel trapped in a life they don't love. Perhaps you can relate. Maybe you don't look forward to much or feel like you want to escape your life.
Stuck in negativity and hopelessness, you may feel like life is wasted on unhappiness.
Do any of the following resonate with you?
Your energy levels are at an all-time low.
You feel like you lack motivation to do anything.
You feel lonely, even when you are with others.
You wake up every morning feeling overwhelmed and depressed.
If these sound true, I want you to know that you might feel embarrassed to open up about what you’re going through, even to family and friends. But therapy provides a non-judgemental space to talk freely about what’s bothering you. It's not selfish to prioritize caring for yourself. You don't always have to prioritize work or your family’s needs over yours.
Depression Therapy Can Help You Get Your Life Back
It’s possible to feel better. Imagine a life where you could...
Stop worrying all the time.
Be high-energy, motivated, and ambitious.
Have improved attitude, mood, and productivity.
Improve your relationship with yourself and those you choose to share yourself with.
Have the loving relationships you've always wanted.
Live Life As Who You Are
Depression Therapy helps you rise above your challenges and start moving toward your ideal life with less suffering and more fulfillment.
You will get the new mindset you need to find your way through difficult feelings and situations, find answers, and get the help you need.
Even if you are not sure if your problem is too big for a therapist, Depression Therapy may be able to help.
I've helped depressed clients who look in the mirror and are unable to recognize themselves start feeling interested in life again. With new motivation comes the new energy they desire to have for being an engaged, loving partner, parent, and friend.
My name is Stephanie Gonzales and I am a therapist and depression expert who is here to help.
How Depression Therapy Works
Depression Therapy consists of 50-minute, one-on-one sessions that help you work through your concerns. Here’s how it will work step-by-step:
First, I provide a safe, accepting space so that you will feel comfortable sharing your struggles with me.
Through hearing your story, I will start to get a picture of what your challenges are.
We will start with helping you with immediate concerns like managing difficult emotions and challenging life situations.
We will also work to discover your goals in therapy and life.
Keeping your unique goals in mind, we’ll figure out what’s needed to help you reach them.
Over the course of our sessions, you will start making progress towards the life you desire.
I will provide guidance based on my experience and share what the science tells us about what's going on for you; I play an active role.
Research shows that Depression Therapy can positively change your thinking, beliefs, emotions, and behaviors. It can help you let go of what’s holding you back.
Anxiety and Depression often go hand in hand; if you suffer from both, please read here how I can support you with anxiety issues too.
I utilize several approaches to help those I work with overcome anxiety and depression, one such approach is based on Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), and the other I utilize is Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Both are researched and shown to be effective.
